About Our Club
The International Harvester Collectors Club (IHCC)
provides a worldwide collector's network for the preservation of the history,
products, literature and memorabilia of the International Harvester Company.
The International Harvester Collectors Club was organized July, 1990.
Currently there are over 5,600 members from 49 states and several other countries.
There are 43 active chapters sanctioned to promote local involvement,
with interest in chapters continually expanding.
The purpose of the club is to: Establish the International Harvester Collectors as an
identity to which collectors of IH products can relate; promote IH collecting,
restoration and show displays through communication among members; help
preserve, research and complete the history of the IH Company; and shows that
feature IH with a file of member's show pieces; and hold a large annual show
(Red Power Roundup) in conjunction with an IH feature at a different host show each year.
National Club member benefits:
National members receive a quarterly full color publication, Harvester
Highlights, which provides information on club business; reports from various
committees; up coming show listings; news from chapters; feature stories;
restoration information and limited free publication of wanted and for sale ads.
Insurance is provided for members at club-sanctioned shows. Besides the annual
summer show, there is a Winter Convention with a banquet for members. An all-IH
auction supported by the chapters is held in a different state each year. The
club also supports displays at local farm shows. More information about the
national organization, including a membership application, is available from the
national web site, click here.Purpose and Benefits of Chapter 8 of SE PA:
Our chapter promotes IH collection, restoration and show displays,
and supports the national organization. We hold 6 monthly meetings each year
with several devoted to educational, informative and fellowship while the remaining
are for business and fellowship. Our chapter supports three main events each year:
Our Chapter 8 Annual Show in May; The Rough and Tumble Threshermen's Reunion in August;
and Rough and Tumble's "Time of Harvest" in October.
Our newsletter is sent to each member four times a year
to keep them informed about chapter happenings.
Greetings, as part of the Chapter’s program to increase its exposure to IH enthusiasts in our area, and thereby increase our membership, we would like to get as many photos together, of members & friends tractors, to submit to “Lancaster Farming Paper” (a weekly agricultural newspaper) “Classic Tractor Galleries” monthly feature page.
Member Don Gouldey has kindly agreed to volunteer as the collection manager for photos of all IH tractors, new & old. The photos will be published in an upcoming edition of the Lancaster Farming Paper.
Color photos are preferred but vintage tractors will often be shown in black & white, which is also acceptable. Tractors in their work cloths & cell phone photos are also O.K.The newspaper likes to have a few words about the tractors history, how it is used, where, when, & by whom, how maintained & how restored.
Send your photos & information to;
